First worn in the 18th century and popularized by laborers for their rugged utility, jeans have been around for a long time. By the end of WWII, jeans became the preferred uniform of rebelling youths. Since then, sure as they have fallen in and out of vogue over the decades, jeans have been reinvented by every successive generation.
Today, designers have brought denim into the 21st century with a dizzying array of cuts, fabrics, washes, and price ranges from the budget-friendly to the truly outrageous. Quite simply, today’s jeans are far removed from what your great-grandpa use to wear.

So how do you find the jean that fits right for you? Before you begin your search for that perfect pair of jeans that will be both stylish and comfortable, you first want to be comfortable with your own body type.
You want to look great, but you also want to be comfortable. Be realistic about what sizes and fits are going to work for you. For example, if you went one size lower than what you really need, your ego may be stroked, but you won’t be too happy when you’re wedging into that too-tight pair of jeans whose cut is not right for you. Instead, be honest with yourself and choose styles and fits that will be flattering to your shape.
The great thing about jeans today is the terrific variety of styles and fits that are available, some with elastic waistbands and stretchy fabrics that will flow and follow the way your body naturally moves - all designed to flatter you and provide a very comfortable fit.

They’re truly ageless and versatile – they can be elegant or casual, whatever our mood dictates. Combine them with a shimmering top, and jeans can be absolutely glam!
